Programming instructions for Altice Optimum & Suddenlink remote controls

Programming instructions for Altice USA universal remote controls: Altice One (with or without Netflix button), Maestro XL (Black with A/B/C buttons), Optimum/Cablevision UR2-CBL-CV04 (Silver with iO button), Optimum URC 2464 (Silver with O. button), Suddenlink Polaris, Suddenlink Atlas, Suddenlink Pulse IR & RF and Suddenlink Delta:

Altice One Remote

Direct code entry instructions (for all new models)

Step 1: Press and hold the "TV Power" and "SELECT/OK" buttons simultaneously until the indicator light (or "HOME/MENU" button) blinks twice.

Step 2: Enter a 4 digit code.

Step 3: Test the "TV Power", "VOL+/-" and "MUTE" buttons. If all work, setup is complete. If not, repeat this process, using a different code.

Step 1: Turn on the TV.

Step 2: Press and hold the "TV Power" and "SELECT/OK" buttons simultaneously until the indicator light (or "HOME/MENU" button) blinks twice.

Step 3: While pointing the remote at the TV, press and hold down the "SELECT/OK" button until the TV turns off.

Step 4: Test the "TV Power", "VOL+/-" and "MUTE" buttons.

Manual code search v.2 (Altice Digital Adapter)

Step 1: Turn on the TV.

Step 2: Press and hold the "TV Power" and "VOL+" buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds until the indicator light illuminates and remains on.

Step 3: Press and release the number "1" key.

Step 4: While pointing the remote at the TV, press and hold down the "TV Power" button until the TV turns off.

Step 5: Press the "SELECT" key to save the code. The indicator light will turn off.

Step 6: Test the "TV Power", "VOL+/-" and "MUTE" buttons.

Step 3: Press and hold the "TV Power" button until the TV turns off. This may take a few seconds. Let go of the button when the TV turns off.

Step 4: Press the "SELECT" button to store the code. The indicator light will turn off.

Step 5: Test the "TV Power", "VOL+/-" and "MUTE" buttons.

Quick one-digit code search v.2 (Maestro XL / 'Black with A/B/C buttons')

Step 1: Press and hold the "TV Power" and "SELECT/OK" buttons simultaneously until the "HOME/MENU" button blinks twice.

Step 2: Press the "TV Power" button.

Step 3: Press the and hold the number button for your brand. This may take a few seconds. Let go of the button when the TV turns off. The "HOME/MENU" button will blink twice.

Step 4: Test the "TV Power", "VOL+/-" and "MUTE" buttons.

Pair the remote to your Altice One (set to RF mode)

In RF mode you can use voice commands and control the box even when it's placed out of sight, up to 30 feet away, such as in an entertainment center or cabinet.

Step 1: Turn on your TV and Altice One.

Step 2: Press the "HOME" (or "α") button on your remote.

Step 3: From the main menu navigate to 'Settings'.

Step 4: Select 'REMOTE'.

Step 5: Select 'PAIR REMOTE TO ALTICE ONE'.

Step 6: Press the "7" and "9" buttons together for at least 5 seconds.

Step 7: Select 'Pair Remote Control'. You'll see on-screen confirmation that the remote is paired.

Try Voice Commands

Step 1: Press and hold the microphone button on your remote.

Step 2: Say a voice command while continuing to hold down the button (e.g., 'Open Netflix', 'Go to My Guide', etc.).

Step 3: Release the microphone button when your command is complete and look at the TV for the results.

Unpair the remote (set back to IR mode)

Step 1: Press the "7" and "9" buttons together for at least 5 seconds until all buttons start flashing (or the indicator light blinks and then turns off).

Step 2: Press the "TV Power" button to see if the remote controls your box. Then, test if the remote controls your box in IR mode: the remote should only work when pointed to your box, and should stop working when you cover the front of the remote. Also, the box should not respond to voice commands.

Volume Lock (Maestro XL / 'Black with A/B/C buttons')

Once you program the remote to control your TV, it will also control the TV's volume and mute functions. To change it, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Press and hold the "TV Power" and "SELECT/OK" buttons simultaneously until the "HOME/MENU" button blinks twice.

Step 2: Press the "VOL-" button to lock volume to Cable Box or press the "VOL+" button to lock volume to TV.

If the cable box volume does not adjust, you may also need to set the cable box's volume control to variable: press the "Settings" button twice to access the 'Full Settings' menu, scroll to 'Audio' and press "SELECT/OK", scroll to 'Volume Control' and press "SELECT/OK", scroll to 'Variable' and press "SELECT/OK".

Optimum Cablevision UR2-CBL-CV04 Remote

Direct code entry (Optimum Cablevision UR2-CBL-CV04/Silver with iO button)

Step 1: Turn on your TV.

Step 2: Press and hold "TV" and "SEL" simultaneously for 3 seconds until the "O." button lights up.

Step 3: Point the remote at the TV and enter 3-digit codes until the TV turns off.

Step 4: Press the "MUTE" button. The TV should turn on.

Step 5: Press the "TV" button to store the code. The "iO" button will blink twice to confirm that the code has been stored.

Optimum Cablevision UR2-CBL-CV04 Remote Buttons (img)

Manual code search (UR2-CBL-CV04)

Step 1: Turn on your TV.

Step 2: Press and hold "TV" and "SEL" simultaneously for 3 seconds until the "O." button lights up.

Step 3: Press the "CH+" or "CH-" button one step at a time (or keep it pressed) until the TV turns off.

Step 4: Press the "MUTE" button. The TV should turn on.

Step 5: Press the "TV" button to store the code. The "iO" button will blink twice to confirm that the code has been stored.

Code Retrieval (UR2-CBL-CV04)

Finding out the actual code after the 'Manual code search' procedure will save you a lot of time if you ever need to program the remote again. Follow the steps below to find out which code is used to control your device:

Step 1: Press and hold "TV" and "SEL" simultaneously for 3 seconds until the "O." button lights up.

Step 2: Press the "INFO" button. The "iO" button will blink number of times indicating the number of each digit of the code number. Each digit is separated by a 1 second interval of the "iO" button being turned off. (10 blinks is equal to the number 0)

Example: 1 blink, 3 blinks and 8 blinks with an interval of 1 second of "iO" button being turned off indicates the code number 138.

Volume Lock (UR2-CBL-CV04)

Once you program the remote to control your TV, it will also control the TV's volume and mute functions. If you wish to control the volume via your Cable Box, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Press and hold "CBL" and "SEL" simultaneously for 3 seconds until the "O." button lights up.

Step 2: Point the remote at the cable box and press the "VOL+" button.

Step 3: Press the "CBL" button. The "iO" button will blink twice.

Notes:

  • To go back to controlling the TV's volume, repeat Steps 1-2 above and in Step 3 use the "TV" button instead of the "CBL" button.
  • If the cable box volume does not adjust, you may also need to set the Cable Box's volume control to variable: press the "Settings" button twice to access the 'Full Settings' menu, scroll to 'Audio' and press "SEL", scroll to 'Volume Control' and press "SEL", scroll to 'Variable' and press "SEL".
  • With a Scientific Atlanta Cable Box, if you used HDMI cables to connect to your TV, you will not be able to control the cable box volume using this Optimum remote.
Optimum URC2464 Remote

Direct code entry (Optimum URC2464/Silver with O. button)

Step 1: Press the "TV POWER" button.

Step 2: Press and hold "TV POWER" and "SEL" until the "O." button blinks twice.

Step 3: Enter a 4-digit code.

Step 4: Test the "TV Power", "VOL+/-" and "MUTE" buttons. If all work, setup is complete. If not, repeat this process using a different code.

Suddenlink Polaris URC1090 Remote

Direct code entry (Suddenlink Polaris)

Step 1: Press and release the "TV Power" button. The button will blink once.

Step 2: Press and hold the "SETUP" button until the "TV Power" button blinks twice.

Step 3: Enter a 4-digit code. If the code is correct, the "TV Power" button will blink twice, if not, it will emit a single, long blink.

Step 4: Aim the remote at the television and press the "TV Power" button. If the TV turns off, then the remote has been successfully programmed. If not, repeat this process using a different code.

Manual code search (Polaris)

If a device does not respond to the remote after trying all of the codes listed next to the brand name or if a brand name is not listed at all, try searching for the code:

Step 1: Press and release the "TV Power" button. The button will blink once.

Step 2: Press and hold the "SETUP" button until the "TV Power" button blinks twice.

Step 2: Enter "9" "9" "1". The LED will flash twice.

Step 3: Press and release the "CH+" button repeatedly until the TV turns off.

Step 4: Press the "SETUP" button to save the code.

Code Retrieval (Polaris)

Finding out the actual code after the 'Manual code search' procedure will save you a lot of time if you ever need to program the remote again. Follow the steps below to find out which code is used to control your device:

Step 1: Press and release the "TV Power" button. The button will blink once.

Step 2: Press and hold the "SETUP" button until the "TV Power" button blinks twice.

Step 3: Enter "9" "9" "0". The LED will flash twice.

Step 4: Press the "1" button. Count the number of times the "TV Power" button blinks. This will be the first digit of the code. (Example: one blink = 1xxx).

Step 5: Repeat the previous step for the remaining digits. Press the "2" button for the second, "3" for the third and "4" for the fourth digit.

Volume Lock (Polaris)

Step 1: Press and hold the "SETUP" button until the LED blinks twice.

Step 2: Enter "9" "9" "3". The LED will flash twice.

Step 3: To lock the volume control to the cable receiver: press and release the "CBL" button. To lock volume control to the TV: press and release the "TV Power" button. The LED will flash twice.

Suddenlink Atlas URC1056 Remote

Direct code entry (Suddenlink Atlas)

Step 1: Press the mode key for the device you wish to setup (e.g., "TV", "DVD", "AUD", etc.).

Step 2: Press and hold "SETUP" until the mode key blinks twice.

Step 3: Enter a 4-digit code. The LED will blink twice. (If you enter an invalid code, the LED will display one long blink and exit the programming mode.)

Step 4: Test the "PWR", "VOL+/-", etc. buttons. If all work, setup is complete. If not, repeat this process using a different code.

Atlas URC1056 Remote Buttons (img)

Manual code search (Atlas)

Step 1: Press the mode key for the device you wish to setup (e.g., "TV", "DVD", "AUD", etc.).

Step 2: Press and hold "SETUP" until the mode key blinks twice.

Step 3: Enter "9" "9" "1". The LED will flash twice.

Step 4: Press "CH+" repeatedly until your device turns off.

Step 5: Press the "PWR" button. The device should turn on. If the device does not turn on, then slowly press and release the "CH-" button to go back through the codes until it does.

Step 6: Press the "SETUP" button to save the code.

Code Retrieval (Atlas)

Step 1: Press the mode key for the device (e.g., "TV", "DVD", "AUD", etc.).

Step 2: Press and hold "SETUP" until the mode key blinks twice.

Step 3: Enter "9" "9" "0". The LED will flash twice.

Step 4: Press the "1" button. Wait 3 seconds and count the flashes. No flashes indicate this part of the code is a 0.

Step 5: Repeat the previous step for the remaining digits. Press the "2" button for the second, "3" for the third and "4" for the fourth digit.

Volume Lock (Atlas)

Step 1: Press and hold "SETUP" until the mode key blinks twice.

Step 2: Enter "9" "9" "3". The LED will flash twice.

Step 3: To lock the volume control to the Cable Receiver: press and release the "CBL" button. To lock volume control to a Stereo System: press and release the "AUD" button. To lock volume control to the TV: press and release the "TV" button. The LED will flash twice.

Cable mode Remote Lock (Atlas)

Remote Lock can be used to ensure device codes are not accidently changed. When unlocked, it is possible to change CBL to another setup code. If the remote does not accept the codes, the remote may be locked. To lock/unlock your remote, do the following:

Step 1: Press the "CBL" button.

Step 2: Hold the "SETUP" button until the "CBL" light blinks twice.

Step 3: Enter “9 8 2”. The "CBL" button will blink 2 times to indicate the remote is locked and 4 times to indicate the remote is unlocked.

Channel Control Lock (Atlas)

The default setting for the Channel Control lock is set so that in the Cable, TV and VCR modes, the remote will always operate the channel control for the cable box. To Activate/Deactivate Channel Control Lock, do the following:

Step 1: Press the "CBL" button.

Step 2: Hold the "SETUP" button until the "CBL" light blinks twice.

Step 3: Enter “9 7 3”. The LED will flash twice.

Step 4: To activate Channel Control Lock: press and release the "CH+" button. To deactivate Channel Control Lock: press and release the "CH-" button.

Power Macro (Atlas)

There is the ability to program the Power button to turn on and off all of the equipment with the press of one button. This feature is designed to be mode specific, so that individual power is not lost in all modes. The Master Power ("PWR") button will only turn off all devices when the remote is in cable mode.

Pressing the "PWR" button once will sequentially turn off the programmed devices. In any other mode, the individual device will turn off.

When setting up a power macro, the macro must end with the cable mode. Ending with any other mode will render the macro inoperable.

Programming the Power key for All ON/OFF (Atlas)

Step 1: Press and hold the "SETUP" button until the LED flashes twice.

Step 2: Enter "9" "9" "5". The LED will flash twice.

Step 3: Press and release the "PWR" button (this tells the remote the Power button is being programmed).

Step 4: Press and release the "TV" button. Press and release the "PWR" button.

Step 5: Repeat the previous step for other devices to be programmed (e.g. "DVD", "AUD", etc.).

Step 6: Press and release the "CBL" button. Press and release the "PWR" button.

Step 7: Press and hold the "SETUP" button until the LED flashes twice.

Removing the Power Macro (Atlas)

Step 1: From the cable mode, press and hold the "SETUP" button until the LED flashes twice.

Step 2: Enter "9" "9" "5". The LED will flash twice.

Step 3: Press the "PWR" button.

Step 4: Press and hold the "SETUP" button until the LED flashes twice.

Reassigning a Device Button (Atlas)

This feature allows a device button to be assigned to different device (e.g., making the "DVD" button a secondary "TV" button).

Step 1: Press and hold the "SETUP" button until the LED flashes twice.

Step 2: Enter "9" "9" "2". The LED will flash twice.

Step 3: Press and release the device button to be duplicated (e.g., "TV").

Step 4: Press and release the destination device button to be replaced (e.g., DVD).

Suddenlink Pulse RF URC2068 Remote

Direct code entry (Suddenlink Pulse IR & RF)

Step 1: Press and hold the "SETUP" button until the LED blinks twice.

Step 2: Enter a 4-digit code.

Step 3: Test the "TV Power", "VOL+/-" and "MUTE" buttons. If all work, setup is complete. If not, repeat this process using a different code.

Step 1: Press and hold the "SETUP" button until the LED blinks twice.

Step 2: To set volume control for the TV: press "VOL+". The LED will blink twice. To set volume control for the DTA: press "MUTE". The LED will blink 4 times.

RF Pairing (Pulse RF)

Step 1: Press and hold the "SETUP" button until the LED blinks twice.

Step 2: Press the "MENU" button on the remote. The remote will begin blinking as it attempts to pair.

Step 3: Refer to the STB or RF adapter's instructions to complete pairing.

Suddenlink Delta URC3068 Remote

Direct code entry (Suddenlink Delta - URC3068)

Step 1: Press and hold "SET" until the red LED blinks twice.

Step 2: Enter a 5-digit code for your TV. The LED will blink twice. (If you enter an invalid code, the LED will display one long blink and exit the programming mode.)

Step 3: Aim the remote control at your TV and press "POWER" once. The device should turn off. If it does not respond, repeat steps 1 & 2, trying each code listed for your brand until you find one that works.

Suddenlink Delta URC3068 Remote Buttons (img)

Manual code search (Suddenlink Delta)

Step 1: Turn on your TV.

Step 2: Press and hold "SET" until the LED blinks twice.

Step 3: Enter in "9" "9" "1". The LED will blink twice.

Step 4: While pointing the remote control at the TV, press and release the "CH+" key until the TV turns off. (Note: You may need to press "CH+" numerous times).

Step 5: Press "SET" once to lock in the code. The LED will blink twice.

Code Retrieval (Suddenlink Delta)

Finding out the actual code after the 'Manual code search' procedure will save you a lot of time if you ever need to program the remote again. Follow the steps below to find out which code is used to control your device:

Step 1: Press and hold "SET" until the LED blinks twice.

Step 2: Enter in "9" "9" "0". The LED will blink twice.

Step 3: To view the code for the first digit, press "1" once. Wait 3 seconds and count the number of times the LED blinks (e.g., 3 blinks = 3). If a code digit is "0" the LED will not blink.

Step 4: Repeat the previous step four more times for the remaining digits. Use "2" for the second digit, "3" for the third digit, "4" for the fourth digit and "5" for the fifth digit.

Volume Lock (Suddenlink Delta)

The Suddenlink Delta remote is set to control the volume level of the Digital Adapter. Once a valid TV code is programmed, the volume keys will operate the volume of the TV. However, you may change the Volume Lock setting to regain volume control of the Digital Adapter as follows:

Step 1: Press and hold "SET" until the LED blinks twice.

Step 2: Enter in "9" "9" "3". The LED will blink twice.

Step 3: Press and release the digit "1" to change volume lock from TV to the Digital Adapter (or digit "2" to change volume lock from Digital Adapter to the TV). The LED will blink 4 times.
