OneForAll Simple TV and Simple 2 programming instructions

OneForAll URC6420 Simple 2 universal remote

Programming instructions for One For All URC 6410 (Simple TV) and URC 6420 (Simple 2) universal remote controls.

Direct code entry

Step 1: Simultaneously press and hold "Red" & "Blue" keys for TV or "Green" & "Yellow" keys for SAT/Cable/Set-Top-Box for 3 seconds. The LED will blink twice.

Step 2: Enter the 4 digit code for your device.

Step 3: Aim the remote towards your device and press the "POWER" key. If the device turns off, your remote is ready to use. If your device does not switch OFF, try the next code for your brand.

 

SimpleSet code search

There a country switch inside the battery compartment. If you live in the UK or Ireland, you should have your switch set to the "GB" position. If you live outside of supported countries (Great Britain/Ireland, Germany, France, Spain and Italy), for example Australia, you should have your switch set to "INT". Insert batteries to activate your selected region.

Step 1: Simultaneously press and hold "Red" & "Blue" keys for TV or "Green" & "Yellow" keys for SAT/Cable/Set-Top-Box for 3 seconds. The LED will blink twice.

Step 2: Make sure your device is switched ON and point the remote towards it.

Step 3: Press and hold the digit key assigned to your brand (see the tables below) until your device switches OFF. This may take up to 40 seconds.

Step 4: Release the digit key as soon as your device switches OFF.

Here are the code tables for Great Britain/Ireland (GB) and International (INT). For Germany, France, Spain and Italy consult your user manual.

Manual search

Step 1: Simultaneously press and hold "Red" & "Blue" keys for TV or "Green" & "Yellow" keys for SAT/Cable/Set-Top-Box for 3 seconds. The LED will blink twice.

Step 2: Press and release "OK". The LED will blink twice.

Step 3: Make sure your device is switched ON. Keep the remote pointed at your device. The remote will send a different POWER signal automatically every 3 seconds going through all the brands stored in the memory.

Step 4: As soon as your device turns off, press and release "OK". You should now be able to switch your device back ON and control it.

Your device switched OFF but it does not switch back ON? You may have pressed the "OK" key too late.

Step 1: Switch your device back ON manually (or using the original remote).

Step 2: Simultaneously press and hold "Red" & "Blue" keys for TV or "Green" & "Yellow" keys for SAT/Cable/Set-Top-Box for 3 seconds. The LED will blink twice.

Step 3: Point the OneForAll at your device and press "CH-" repeatedly until your device switches OFF.

Step 4: Press and release "OK" as soon as your device switches OFF. If this is not successful you may want to repeat Auto Search and make sure to press "OK" as soon as your device switches OFF to save your settings.

 

Learning (Copy)

The Learning feature allows you to Learn (Copy) one or more functions from your (working) original remote control onto your OneForAll remote. You can learn onto every key except the "COPY" key.

Place both remote controls on a flat surface. Make sure that the ends you normally point at your device are facing each other.

Step 1: Press and hold "COPY" for 3 seconds. The LED(s) will blink twice.

Step 2: Press and release the key you want to learn a function onto. The LED(s) will flash rapidly.

Step 3: Press and briefly hold the the key on the original remote. The LED(s) will will light up twice to confirm successful copying. If you want to copy other functions, simply repeat this step for each key you want to copy.

Step 4: Press and hold "COPY" for 3 seconds to exit the COPY feature.

To delete a copied function:

Step 1: Press and hold "COPY" for 3 seconds until the LED(s) will blink twice.

Step 2: Press the key you wish to delete for 3 seconds until the LED(s) will blink twice.

Step 3: Press and hold "COPY" for 3 seconds. The LED(s) will blink twice.
