The instructions on this page apply for most newer Philips universal remotes using exact 4 digit codes such as the SRP1003, SRU2040, SRU2103, SRU3003, SRU3004, SRU4006, SRU4007, SRU4105, SRU4106, SRU5106, SRU5107, SRU5108 etc. See this page if you have a remote that uses 4 digit brand codes and this page for programming remotes with 5-digit codes.

Direct code entry

Step 1: Press and hold the "SETUP" button until the light indicator remains lit, then release.

Step 2: Press and release the desired mode button (TV, SAT, DVR, etc.). The light indicator flashes, then remains lit.

Step 3: Find and enter the 4 digit code. After a valid code entry, the indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the indicator flashes.

With your device to be controlled turned on, press several buttons to test if it responds. If your device responds properly, you have successfully programmed your remote. If not, try the next code for your brand or perform a code search.

  • Some models (e.g. SRU2040) don't have a "Setup" button. Press "Code search" instead in Step 1.
  • If your model of remote does not have separate device buttons, e.g. SRU4105 or SRU4106, in step 2 press "Select" repeatedly to select the desired mode (TV, SAT, DVR, etc.). For a single device remote skip Step 2.
